Convert signals from IR remotes into DC that are transmitted along wires to emitters at the audio/video equipment. Install this Wall-mount IR Sensor in a standard electrical junction box or a low-voltage mud ring. Each has the same opening as a Decora wiring device and needs to be finished with a Decora-style trim plate (sold separately).
The Wall-mount IR Sensor include a wiring terminal on the rear for connection to 3- or 4-conductor cable. Cat. 5 cable is recommended for conections. Additionally, a talkback LED is included on the front for system testing as well as indicating infrared reception. The IR Sensor is powered by 12 volts DC from the IR Connection Block.
This IR sensor may be used with other models and brands (generally up to 16 on one system) without interference.
